Most people may have one, moderately strong character by then
Diablo 4 Gold, or have sampled a few others. But now they’re in a bizarre situation where they either have to put down their main class and restart a different main class character.
Or they need to wait to try out alt classes until the season hits, and it may even be better to delete alts you currently have in lieu of the season arriving. The good news is that at least seasonal characters will transfer to the Eternal realm once the season is over, so there’s that. Though I’m not sure what happens when you run out of slots.
I understand the rationale for why Diablo veterans are dismissing concerns with the model and think it’s very fun. But I am seeing people hearing this news for the first time, and they are not happy. From the replies on Rob’s statement:
“This is honestly kind of disheartening. I love Diablo games, but I've never interacted with seasonal characters before. Forcing me to make a seasonal character means I won't interact with the battle pass either. I love the game and I'll buy a battle pass. Not like this though.”
“Hey Rod, huge fan of Diablo here, please revise this seasonal process with the team
buy Diablo IV Gold, the character reset should be optional and not mandatory, all this grind and play time seems like a wasted potential, this is the reason D3 got repetitive and didnt feel like a progressive game.”
